Shaving Performance
On daily two-day stubble the Prestige performed very well. Blades cut close without dragging, and irritation was noticeably lower than older foil models I've used. Philips' micro-edges are sharp and consistent — I tested wet shaving with foam and the water resistance held up well, with easy cleanup afterwards. Tricky spots under the jaw and around the neck are where the floating heads earn their keep; the motor provides consistent power so you don't need multiple slow passes.
Comfort & Skin
For skin sensitivity the Prestige is a strong pick. The combination of a fast motor and smoothly finished foils reduces tugging significantly. I had no red patches across multiple shaves and mornings, which puts this ahead of most electrics I've tested for sensitive skin. It won't fully replace a single-blade safety razor for sheer closeness, but for those wanting a low-irritation electric shave it's near the top of the category.
